Growing: in My Relationship with the Church
Adapting: My Life to the Pattern of a Disciple
Maturing: in Discovering My Spiritual Gifts
Excelling: and Leading in All areas of My Life

The First Class, “Growing” deals with what it means to be a member of the body of Christ and the church. We examine relationships and how to develop them, and we stress the fact that Christians need one another to make it. The Second Class, “Adapting” begins you on the discipleship journey. You will learn what it means to live the Christian life and develop the crucial disciplines of prayer and Bible study. The Third Class, “Maturing” helps you discover your spiritual “shape,” that is, what spiritual gifts you have and how and where best to use them. Finally, the Last Class, “Excelling” deals with leadership issues. We begin by examining how to lead in our families, our jobs and our church.

Our goal for these classes is to develop the total Christian. We don’t want you to just sit on a pew, but rather to fulfill your potential and be used in the Kingdom of God. Classes will be run in succession about every six weeks. Talk to one of our staff pastors, or e-mail the church for information on when the next class will be starting.

Are you interested in exemplifying a knowledge and love for the Word of God? Would you like to demonstrate an understanding of practical skills in ministerial leadership? Do you have a desire to show an improved understanding of human personality and an increased sensitivity to the needs of people? That is exaclty what the CIMS program is designed to do. To equip people for the ministry.
You can take the course for personal enrichment or for college credit hours. You must sign-up to participate and receive the materials needed.
